Welcome to my site! My name is Alyssa Rockers, Ph.D., and I am a photographer with a passion for capturing true life moments. I am located in Ames, Iowa. While I specialize in high school and college seniors, I would love the opportunity to capture any of your special moments.
I began my journey as a photographer with no intent to become one. While pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications in 2016, I decided I needed to hone my photography skills in order to become a more well-rounded communications professional. This led to purchasing my DSLR and my first photographic endeavor. Following the receipt of my bachelor’s degree, I pursued both my master’s and doctorate degrees in agricultural communications in quick succession, which put photography on the back burner. Now, finished with my education and working as a faculty member at a university in Iowa, I am prepared to put more effort back into my own photography.
